O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all….
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst….

from October by Robert Frost

Hope your October is GOLDEN!

  1. Picturesque nature photos! I love the leaves turning into these wonderful autumn colours and I like this enchanting October poem…

    • The foliage on our hills here is looking better every day. I should think further south in the mountains it is even more colourful. I love the colours of autumn too!

    • Oh yes, May is my second favourite too – with everything bursting into bud. But October is definitely my number one – my birthday month too! πŸ˜‰

          • Happy Birthday fellow Libra! No wonder you are so wonderful!! πŸ™‚ I wish I would have known, I would have sent you a virtual cake.
            Did you have a good day?–I hope so. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

            • Thank you – it was lovely! Neighbours and friends dropped by and relatives called. (And we had strudel!) So you’re next… Now I know why you love the number 13! πŸ˜‰
