It’s been drizzling for most of the day, and is quite chilly. Welcome autumn… hello socks… where’s my fleece jacket! We’ll be putting the heating on soon if this continues!
The maple at the bottom of the garden is slowly turning red and the lime trees are losing all their leaves.
What signs of autumn are you seeing?
Lovely photo! The Virginia Creeper is changing color in our garden.
Blessings ~ Wendy
I bet that will look gorgeous in a couple of weeks! Thanks for your comment.
Even before I read your text I could see a change from the last few weeks, but jacket weather already? I’m not ready for it.
Today it’s even colder… I need time to adjust, but am not complaining yet! 😉
The garden looks still very green and beutiful and I think I prefer to wait another while before I notice any signs of autumn 😉
I’m enjoying taking in all the little signs, but it is very chilly again today so it can’t be ignored anyway!
Brrrrrrrr! Dry here today but cool and windy. Condensation on the window panes this morning.
A sure sign that the seasons are changing. Hope the tomatoes don’t mind! 😉
The view still looks lovely and green. It’s getting cooler here too and the hens are starting to put themselves to bed earlier, so I guess autumn must be on its way
We’ve noticed how rapidly the sunset is moving – and how it’s getting earlier…
Very nice, lush and green….ahhh. I could lie in the grass, daydream and eat yummy plum tarts. Yes, I too can feel the approach of Autumn. The leaves are changing and night comes earlier and earlier. It’s such a lovely time of year! By the way, what is the white figure in the grass in your photo?
It’s a rock! I assume the builder of this house dug it out of the ground as it is limestone – typical for this area… when we moved here it was completely covered with bushes, tree roots and ivy. We only discovered it about 2 or 3 years after coming here!
What a fun discovery! I have a spot spot for big rocks. There is so much history. You can feel it.
We’ve had a bit of chilly weather, and the leaves have begun to change on the early things…but today will feel like High Summer, with a heat warning for the whole area. I just want it to settle down! 🙂
I expect that will be one of the last warm days… we had a beautiful warm evening on Saturday, but during the course of Sunday it cooled down immensely.
Well we were almost 100 F today and soon it will drop right off after huge storms ushers in cooler temps then we will wait for frost and INDIAN SUMMER 🙂 then it is all down hill but I have the pup and the beach and the GYM and my beads and glass and stews and yummy baking to do looking forward to the rest 🙂
Your yard is so lovely
Thanks Eunice. I’m looking forward to doing some autumn planting soon… but it’s so cold and wet again today! Hopefully it’ll be dry at the weekend. 😀
What will you attempt to plant with all our water I want to but not sure if I should waste more money
Your garden and yard is so bucolic..(I think that’s the word I’m looking for).. gorgeous. Our weather has been oddly hot here.. I’m actually looking forward to a little fall and cooler weather. I’ll try to send some sun over to you:)xx
That’s a nice word Barbara! Thank you! And a little sunshine would be lovely as it’s been raining all week on and off. Hope you get some cooler days too, and thanks for visiting! 😀
The leaves are changing, the flowers are fading and the weather is getting chilly.
I notice a change every day now – the two maples in our garden are changing colour slowly but surely.
