In a Vase on Monday: A Touch of Spring

Spring has finally arrived, with the Iris reticulata in flower, along with a few crocuses and the snowdrops, and with the hazel pollen flying and the bees buzzing. And although we could easily get another cold snap it was wonderful to see the thermometer showing 16.4°C this afternoon! Here is the happy but tired gardener having discovered what the big wheelbarrow is really for…

The Iris reticulata is so incredibly blue and inspired my Monday Vase this week…

I also found another Hellebore flower, gazing up at the blue sky, some foliage from Linaria, Mahonia, Heuchera, Buxus and some Euphorbia, a couple of snowdrops and a pansy…

One of the outdoor tables is now on the patio – perfect for the photos in the spring sunshine…

Now that spring is slowly reaching other parts of the northern hemisphere too, perhaps you can also join in with Cathy’s meme “In a Vase on Monday”, which challenges us to find materials from our gardens to bring indoors. Take a look at the other vases people have put together in various parts of the world today at Cathy’s blog “Rambling in the Garden“.

Hope you have a good week with some sunshine and blue skies!
