You are so lucky to have a spot where your Mock Orange can spread and seem so luxurious. Mine is beside the patio. This year has been so hot and dry that the flowers on it are so small and it doesn’t have the overpowering fragrance it usually has.
This one must have really deep roots as it never fails to flower well, even in very dry years. I am very lucky to have inherited it with the garden!

Glorious! It must smell heavenly.
The smell outdoors is not at all strong, but when cut and brought indoors it does smell lovely. 🙂
Beautiful!When and how do you prune it?
I didn’t prune it for the first few years I was here, and it had been neglected for years before that, so now I just cut out some of the oldest wood after it has finished flowering or in August/early September. It is a matter of luck that I have managed to keep the shape!

Thank you March. It has lasted almost two weeks but the heat and heavy rain have shortened its flowering time this year. It was wonderful while it lasted though! My neighbours always admire it! 🙂
