Cathy, I know they are huge! They are divine! I like them very much, they are beautiful. Are yours? Because if so, you’re a big gardener growing vegetables and cucurbits. Let the good weather follow. π Greetings from Margarita.
No Margarita, they aren’t mine. I didn’t grow any vegetables this year. I think the secret to the size was the extra nutrition these pumpkins got….the bed is covered in horse manure! LOL!
Oh no, thank goodness our local bakers are still producing traditional loaves and are still going strong! The Germans are a bit snobbish about their bread and the latest fad is bread baked in a wood-fuelled oven (Holzofenbrot) which is often sold from vans that drive around the villages and suburbs. It is good, but not worth queuing for if you ask me!
You got that right!
π
Wow, are they yours?
Not mine Eliza. We saw them on our newly discovered dog-walking route in a little wild garden!
I love it!
Aren’t they amazing!
Someone has pumpkins to decorate with, or to make pies. Either way wonderful.
I wonder how many were picked. Some smaller ones on the ground had been nibbled by some wild creatures!

Cathy no wonder that with so much horse manure are so big! π π Take care. Greetings from Margarita.
Running amuck π
LOL! π
Nothing says Autumn like a pumpkin patch! π
Precisely! π
Funny how the one seems trapped there between the posts! I hope someone puts them to use, it would be a shame to just watch them rot away.
I think they picked some and have left the rest for wild animals… the garden is not fenced in!
What whoppers! I picked my solitary pumpkin specimen this afternoon as it’s gone much colder here.
I suppose at that size they wouldn’t be very tasty… enjoy your pumpkin Anna!
Judy just baked some pumpkin bread – now I have to wait for it to cool before I can try some.
Mmmm, I bet it tastes good warm too, but slicing it is the probelm! I am looking forward to making some pumpkin pie soon. π
Those are some pumped-up pumpkins.
They are beginning to fall apart now we have had some frosts!
Well, you may not have good pumpkins any more but you’ve still got good pumpernickels.
Oh yes, pumpernickel bread is not as common these days, but I do love it now and then. π
I hope it’s not getting replaced by yucky white American-style bread.

What a coincidence! My class at school just read a fascinating book about prize-winning 1,000 pound pumpkins.
I saw a news article about some much bigger than these grown not far away. Must have been the hot summer they liked! π
Oh my favorite! Great pic, Cathy.
Somehow I knew you would like this one Alys…. π Has Mike carved a pumpkin for Halloween yet?
