Cathy your picnic table is very nice, but if you invite me today to a picnic at the table, I would decline the invitation. π But the landscape is a real wonder. Keep warm and keep warm. Take care. Greetings from Margarita.
Thinking it well the snow sandwiches must be very good. I accept your invitation! π Cathy keep warm and do not leave much of home. Greetings from Margarita.
Hi Laurie. Sorry, I missed this comment till today! We had about 40 cm of snow but lots of ice and frost on the trees too – really pretty! It started melting on Friday and it is amazing how rapidly it is disappearing!
I know really crazy. I hope to get it in the mail today I will email you if I do or I may wait till snowstorm hits us and then after things are normal get it out on Thursday so it can get on a flight.
I love that too… and with no neighbours except the deer and hares we barely saw tracks for days. The poor wild animals have suffered but it is melting now.
No problem Anna! The picnic table scene sadly got squashed by an avalanche of snow off the barn roof (which was pretty amazing and scary to watch) and now it is all melting very rapidly. It was so lovely while it lasted!

I could serve iced tea and snow sandwiches. π You stay warm too Margarita!

Like Margarita I wouldnβt want to have a picnic at your table. There is a lot of snow Cathy!
It’s a bit chilly for a picnic, I agree!
That is a lot of snow. It is pretty. All of your plants must be having parties under the snow they are so warm.
I hope so! π
Wowsah! How much snow?

No worries!
That’s a lotta snow! Love your header pic, too!
Thanks Eliza! π
Your photos are so lovely – the snow is perfectly pristine! Gorgeous!
And it has stayed looking pristine so far… enjoying it!
Yep, that looks very familiar. But ours has mostly melted…until the next snowstorm. π Stay warm!
Thanks Beth. Sadly freezing rain is on the cards next. But it was lovely while it lasted! π
It has to be iced coffee with brandy!
Or how about some mulled wine! π
Your snow is quite beautiful, and Iβm sure your garden is all the happier for it even if picnics have to be delayed for awhile! π
π With our crazy climates you never know, we could be picnicking outside in a week or two!
Beautiful header picture. Your garden is under a pristine snow quilt.
This view lasted until Friday when it started to melt. The snow is sadly disappearing incredibly quickly now.
Maybe put off the picnic until later.
I’ll post another picture of the table mid-summer, with the picnic goodies on it! π
Oh wow! I almost couldn’t see that this was a picnic table! Very impressive snow mantel π
I felt it needed some ice sculptures of picnickers sipping their tea! π
Seems you get nailed soon after we do with these storm fronts. Makes for pretty pictures love them!
It is amazing how weather conditions can be so similar miles apart!

Thanks Eunice! I am intrigued… π Looks like we should have a week or two of calmer weather so the post can get through. βοΈπ·βοΈ
It is still the pristine and undisturbed nature of it that I fnd so attractive, Cathy
I love that too… and with no neighbours except the deer and hares we barely saw tracks for days. The poor wild animals have suffered but it is melting now.
Your temperatures have increased now?
Yes, it is only a few degrees above freezing today but reached +9 yesterday!
Just how much snow did you have Christina? I imagine that your picnic table remained vacant π
Sorry Cathy a senior moment on my behalf – I had just commented on one of Christina’s posts before arriving here π

Gorgeous! I wish I had a view like this in Norway right now. It’s been a totally foggy-wet-grey week and no frost at all. π¦
Oh, I hope the sun comes your way again soon Dina! We have hardly any snow left now, but the sun is still shining and it is still cold.
I guess ice cream would’ve been appropriate for that picnic.
Nice idea. With a hot apple crumble perhaps! π
